What is The Legacy Open?
The Legacy Open is a premium amateur golf tournament for two-person family teams, combining meaningful competition with luxury hospitality and a strong sense of occasion.
The Legacy Open is for related players who share a connection through family and a love of the game. Parent and child, grandparent and grandchild, or another recognised family pairing: the point is to celebrate golf as something shared, inherited and remembered.
Hosted at Fancourt, The Legacy Open feels elevated from the first moment: polished, personal, competitive and warm. This is not a mass-market golf day. It is a curated invitational, limited to sixty family teams, played over four days on three Gary Player–designed championship courses.

Two qualifying rounds, a cut to the top sixteen, and a final day on which every team still has something to play for: the Championship Final on The Links, or the Legacy Plate Final for the rest of the field.
